For this assignment, we were asked to create two different assessments to use in the classroom. I created three assessments using Kahoot! and one using Quizlet. I believe this assignment meets the requirements for being proficient because I demonstrated that I understood the tools and successfully used them to test my student's knowledge of the material.
- 290-3-3-.49 (3)(b)3.(i)(III) EDM 510 The National Technology Education Standards of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).
Web 2.0 & 3.0 Blog Post
Visual Tool Blog Post
One of the options to demonstrate your knowledge of this standard is to share two of the best blog posts from this semester. I believe the Web 2.0 & 3.0 blog post is proficient because I displayed information about web 2.0 and 3.0 through the use of technology (Prezi) and provided insight for how I think web 3.0 will change education. The blog post on visual tools is exceptional because all of the tools created were designed using a different form of technology and they are all tools I will be able to use in my classroom.
- Alternative Masters Standards:
- 290-3-3-.44 (3)(c)1.(iii) Knowledge of media communication technologies that enrich learning opportunities.
One of the options to share for this standard was a digital story. I created a screencast for the digital story assignment, so I thought this would be appropriate to share. I created a presentation to share with students and recorded my voice over the presentation. I believe this assignment is exceptional because it is concise, covers a lot of material, and is engaging.
- 290-3-3-.44 (3)(c)4.(ii) Knowledge of the wide range of technologies that support and enhance instruction, including classroom and school resources as well as distance learning and online learning opportunities.
One of the options for this standard was to share a video. This is probably the assignment I enjoyed the most and spent the most time on and I think that it shows in my execution of the assignment. For that reason, I believe it meets the requirement for being exceptional. Creating videos for the classroom is something that I will continue doing throughout my career.
