Visuals

Photo/Realistic

I chose this visual to share with my students, so they can see an example of how brushes are meant to be stored. Some students need a reminder when we paint this week, so I plan on showing them the image when we discuss clean-up. I'd also like to add the picture to the brush storage area, so they are reminded when putting the brushes away after cleaning.

I found the photo and edited it/added text using PicMonkey. PicMonkey was easy to use and free. I'll definitely continue to use it.

Organizational/Chart

I decided to make a simple mind mapping chart of the Elements of Art to share with my students when the elements are discussed during a lesson. I used Mindomo to create the mind map. I like the clean look of the digital mind map. I also like that links can be added. I found some short videos on Youtube about each element and added them to the mind map. I might also use this mind map as a visual for the students and ask them to re-create the mind map in a creative way, while showing that they understand the elements.

Transformational/Cartoon

I made a cartoon to share with my younger students to remind them what they are supposed to do when it's time to clean up. Lately, I've been having a few students that need a reminder and I thought something simple and silly might help them remember. I used toondoo.com/ to make my cartoon.

I really like this program and will probably use it again or introduce it to my students to use.
